Why is one of my hearing aids draining faster than the other?Updated 2 months ago
If you are experiencing uneven battery life consumption with your Ion Pro hearing aids, that is completely normal.
The hearing aids, like most Bluetooth devices that are linked with each other, will have a "parent" device which leads the connection between both devices; because of this, that hearing aid will be performing more tasks by communicating with the smartphone and application which will result in a slightly greater battery consumption and thus drain a little bit faster.
How It Looks
You may notice one hearing aid have a slightly lower battery percentage (in this case, the right-side) since this is the parent device. This is completely normal and should not affect the functionality of the hearing aids.
What if they only last for around 5 to 6 hours?
If your Ion Pro hearing aids only last for about 5 to 6 hours on a full charge, that means the Streaming feature is used almost all the time. This is expected since the Streaming feature takes a lot of energy to operate, as it constantly communicates with the application and smartphone to perform multiple tasks for that experience.
How do I reach the expected battery life of 16 hours?
To reach the expected battery life of about 16 hours, you may prioritize using the device as a hearing aid for most of the usage throughout the day. Make sure to turn off Bluetooth to ensure no additional tasks are required of the hearing aid and you may expect to reach the expected battery life.
